Workshops & Events
These workshops are designed to share the history of basketry and introduce experienced artists and total beginners to the techniques of 3D and off-loom weaving.
In each workshop, all materials are included in the registration fee, and participants can bring materials and finished work home.

BIG NEWS!
The Weaving Workshop is moving into it’s own space, at 1616 W 18th Place in Chicago’s Pilsen neighborhood, on April 15!
Thank you all for following along, attending classes, and supporting The Weaving Workshop as I build this school and community for basketry and fiber arts in my beloved city, and chosen home: Chicago.
As the school grows, my vision is to expand programming to include workshops for children, studio memberships (open now), more basketry and fiber classes taught by practicing artists and craftspeople, a materials library, an artist lecture series, and an artist residency. Dreaming BIG!
Every time you sign up for a class, you help support and grow this vision into a real, thriving community. At a time when art education in the United States feels increasingly uncertain, I hope The Weaving Workshop can be an affordable and welcoming place where creativity, craft, and community can grow and thrive.
xo, Dee
