Learn to design patterns for weaving three-dimensional baskets using reed. We will begin by drafting twill patterns and their variations using graph paper and pencils. Then, we will translate these patterns into a flat weaving with colored paper. A Zoom invite link will be sent to all participants one week before the class starts.
Experience with either textile or basket weaving is helpful for this one-night online workshop.
Materials needed for class: Graph paper, pencil or colored pencils, a variety of colored paper, such as construction paper, for the weaving exercise.
